D4US is a mission-driven nonprofit that uses basketball as a tool to empower youth in communities with limited access to structured programs. We focus on mentorship, leadership, and life skills—building stronger futures together.
Meet Dari "D4" Hunter
Athletic Journey
Dari Hunter, known on the court as “D4,” is a former student-athlete and proud graduate of Webster University, where she played collegiate basketball from 2017 to 2021. As a key contributor to the Gorloks, Dari helped lead the team to two SLIAC Conference Championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Overcoming adversity—including a return from knee surgery—she brought relentless energy, tenacity, and heart to every game. Throughout her career, she appeared in over 50 games, consistently contributing in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks, and showing up in big moments for her team.
Academic & Personal Growth
A Criminology major with minors in Legal Studies and Sociology, Dari blends her competitive spirit with a deep commitment to growth and impact. Her academic focus reflects a strong interest in justice, social systems, and advocacy—values she carries both on and off the court.
Beyond the Court
Off the court, Dari is passionate about poetry, traveling, and spending quality time with family. She dedicates much of her free time to giving back to communities—whether through mentorship, volunteering, or simply being a positive presence for others. Dari loves everything D4US, a reflection of her personal brand and mission to uplift, unite, and inspire. Committed to lifelong learning, she approaches each day with the intention to grow, reflect, and make a meaningful impact wherever she can. Her guiding quote, “Comparison is the thief of joy,” serves as a personal mantra and reminder to embrace one’s own journey—unapologetically.
